If you’ve spent any time in the wellness world, chances are you’ve heard of ABC juice — short for apple, beet, and carrot juice. This beautiful ruby-red drink has become popular for good reason. It’s naturally sweet, refreshing, packed with antioxidants, and an easy way to add more plant-powered nutrition to your day.

But beyond the color and flavor, ABC juice can also support anti-inflammatory living and hormone balance — especially for women navigating fatigue, stress, stubborn weight gain, and midlife hormone shifts.

What I love most about this juice is that it feels like radical self-care in a glass. Every ingredient brings unique wellness benefits that nourish the body at a deeper level.

Why This Juice Supports Anti-Inflammatory Living

Chronic inflammation has been linked to many common health concerns women experience, including hormone imbalance, fibroids, insulin resistance, fatigue, digestive issues, and skin concerns. While no single food is a magic solution, consistently adding nutrient-dense plant foods to your routine can help support the body’s natural healing processes.

ABC juice is filled with antioxidants, phytonutrients, and naturally occurring compounds that help combat oxidative stress and support overall wellness.

The Hormone-Balancing Benefits of the Ingredients

Apples

Apples contain antioxidants and polyphenols that may help reduce inflammation and support gut health — both important for hormone balance. Since hormones are processed and eliminated through the digestive system, supporting gut health can help the body better regulate excess hormones.

Apples also contain soluble fiber called pectin, which supports healthy digestion and may help stabilize blood sugar levels. Balanced blood sugar is essential for hormone health because blood sugar spikes and crashes can contribute to cortisol imbalances and increased inflammation.

Beets

Beets are one of the stars of this juice when it comes to circulation and detoxification support. They’re rich in betalains, powerful antioxidant compounds known for their anti-inflammatory properties.

Beets also naturally support liver function, which plays a major role in hormone balance. The liver helps process and eliminate excess hormones from the body, including estrogen. Supporting healthy liver function may be especially beneficial for women concerned about estrogen dominance and hormone-related issues like heavy periods or fibroids.

In addition, beets contain nitrates that help support healthy blood flow and circulation, which can support energy levels and exercise performance.

Carrots

Carrots are rich in beta-carotene, which the body converts into vitamin A — an important nutrient for immune health, skin health, and hormone production.

Carrots are also known in the wellness world for supporting estrogen balance because their fiber helps the body remove excess estrogen through digestion. This is one reason many women intentionally include carrots as part of a hormone-supportive lifestyle.

Plus, their natural sweetness helps balance the earthy flavor of beets while providing a satisfying dose of antioxidants.

Ginger (Optional but Highly Recommended)

If you enjoy a little zing, ginger takes this juice to another level. Ginger contains powerful anti-inflammatory compounds called gingerols that may help reduce inflammation and support digestive health.

Many women also find ginger supportive during hormonal shifts because it may help with bloating, nausea, digestion, and menstrual discomfort. It adds warmth, brightness, and a wellness boost to every sip.

A Simple Wellness Habit That Adds Up

One of the biggest misconceptions about healthy living is that it has to be complicated. Sometimes the most impactful habits are also the simplest.

Adding a fresh juice like this to your weekly routine can be an easy way to increase your intake of colorful plant foods while supporting hydration and nourishment. Whether you enjoy it first thing in the morning, as an afternoon reset, or alongside a balanced plant-based meal, ABC juice is a simple act of self-care that your body may thank you for.

And if you’re using a slow juicer like the Nama J2, this recipe becomes even easier because you can prep your ingredients, load the machine, and let it work while you move on with your morning.

Here’s how to make this vibrant wellness tonic at home.
