🌱What Do You Do When Everyone Eats Differently?
What do you do when you’re going out with a group that includes vegans, vegetarians, pescatarians, gluten-free eaters… and full-on carnivores?
You take them to True Food Kitchen.

If that sounds complicated—welcome to my world.
As we get older and more health-conscious (whether by choice or necessity), food preferences tend to get more specific. But I’ve learned that with a little research, you can always find a place that works for everyone.
And this? This is one of those places.

🌿Why I Keep Coming Back to True Food Kitchen
Whenever I’m dining with a group, I feel confident choosing True Food Kitchen—and here’s why:
- Clean, whole-food focus
Their founder, Andrew Weil, built the menu around health-promoting, anti-inflammatory ingredients. - Seasonal menu
There are reliable staples, but also new dishes to look forward to every season—like their Ube Tart or seasonal pizzas. - Flavor without overwhelm
The food is well-seasoned but not overly spicy—perfect for a range of palates. - Vegan-friendly options
Plenty of plant-based choices that don’t feel like an afterthought. - Gluten-free flexibility
Many dishes can be modified—just ask your server. - They’re accommodating
Don’t be afraid to customize. They make it easy.

🌎Their Philosophy: Real Food for Real Life
At True Food Kitchen, the mission is simple:
Food should nourish your body—without sacrificing flavor.
Their menu is inspired by the anti-inflammatory food pyramid, emphasizing ingredients that support overall health and longevity.
They also made a major shift in 2022:
✔️ 100% seed oil-free cooking
✔️ Using only avocado and olive oils
✔️ Prioritizing clean, high-quality ingredients
Add to that their commitment to ethical sourcing—like organic Bianco DiNapoli tomatoes—and you can taste the difference.
🥗My Go-To Dishes
As someone who is vegan, focused on anti-inflammatory eating, and mostly gluten-free—this is one of the few places where I can eat freely and enjoy it.
🌱 Starters
Edamame Guacamole
A unique twist on a classic—made with avocado, cilantro pesto, pumpkin seeds, and Aleppo chili. Served with house-made pita or a crunchy umami cracker.

Seasonal Roasted Butternut Squash Soup (GF)
This never misses. Warm, comforting, and full of flavor.
👉 Pro tip: Order a half bowl if you’re saving room.

Charred Cauliflower
With medjool dates, harissa tahini, herbs, and pistachios—this dish is a full-on flavor experience. Sweet, savory, spicy, and crunchy all in one.

Mediterranean Hummus (V)
Served with bold flavors like za’atar and red pepper pistachio spread.
👉 Gluten-free tip: Ask for veggies instead of bread.
🍔 Mains
Plant-Based Double Cheeseburger
A house-made patty (portobello, beet, walnut) topped with all the classics on a flaxseed bun with kale salad and sweet potato hash on the side.

This is my go-to.
Lately, I’ve been:
✔️ Choosing the gluten-free bun (and it’s actually good!)
✔️ Opting for air-fried fries

Balance, right? 😌
Spinach & Wild Mushroom Pizza (V)
Creamy almond ricotta, savory mushrooms, fresh spinach, and a perfectly crispy crust.

It might look simple—but the flavor? Next level.
Seasonal Butternut Squash Pizza (V)
A beautiful mix of sweet and savory with kale, caramelized onions, and lemon almond ricotta.

🥤 Drinks

I don’t usually order drinks—but these stood out:
- Kale Aid® (kale, ginger, apple, lemon)
- The O.G. (ginger, honey, lime)
- Dragon Fruit Limeade & Watermelon Lemonade (perfect for summer)

🍰 Seasonal Desserts
Pink Lime (Ube) Tart 🌸🍋
This one? A moment.

Made with:
- Ube (purple yam) filling
- Almond-date crust
- Coconut whipped cream
It reminded me of Caribbean desserts all in one bite—sweet potato pudding, gizzada, and coconut cream.
Avocado Key Lime Pie (V)
Lighter, less sweet—more “clean treat” than indulgent dessert.
